ACCESSIBILITY AT RISKWORLD

 

We look forward to welcoming you to RISKWORLD, taking place May 4–7 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.

RIMS is committed to ensuring a fully accessible and inclusive experience for all participants. To support this commitment, the following accommodations and services will be available throughout RISKWORLD:

Accessible Parking

Designated parking is available in Lot A (on Martin Luther King Drive), Lot C (underground in Lakeside Center), and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place parking garage.


Accessible Shuttle Transportation

Complimentary shuttles run between official conference hotels and the venue. Please note: Shuttles do not service hotels located within the McCormick Place complex (Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Home2 Suites, Hyatt Regency, Marriott Marquis). Boarding is at Gates 43 and 44.

Accessible Signage

All public signage within McCormick Place includes raised lettering and Braille.


Assistive Listening Devices

These devices are available upon request. Please inquire at the registration desk or contact us in advance.


Dietary Restrictions

If you selected a dietary need, you will receive s separate communication with pertinent information.


Elevators

Elevators are conveniently located near the main entrances of all McCormick Place buildings and near the main exhibit halls on every level.


Entrances and Exits

The McCormick Place West Building provides a designated drop-off and pick-up area at Gate 40 for convenient access.


Mobility Equipment

Scooter rentals are available at McCormick Place. Please notify bferreris@rims.org if you’d like to explore this option.


Reserved Seating

Designated seating areas will be available in session rooms for individuals with mobility needs.


Service Animals

Service animals are welcome throughout McCormick Place.


Tranquility Room (W-182, West Building)

This dedicated space is available for to anyone needing a quiet moment to relax and unwind. Please note: To maintain a calm environment, this is a designated NO PHONE ZONE.


Wheelchair Accessibility

All entrances, restrooms, public service areas (including first aid, restaurants, retail outlets, drinking fountains), and designated seating areas are wheelchair accessible. Restrooms feature accessible or ambulatory stalls.

To arrange wheelchair-accessible transportation, please call TCS Transportation at 410-507-0971 at least 60 minutes prior to your desired pick-up time.


Wordly Real-Time Translation and Captioning     

Live translation and captioning will be available in 60 languages via the Wordly platform. Instructions for accessing Wordly on your mobile device can be found in the conference mobile app and onsite. Please remember to bring your own headset or earphones.


Need Assistance Onsite?

Blanca Ferreris, Senior Events Manager, will be available at the main registration area (W-183 AB) to assist with any accessibility questions or needs during conference hours.
